Senior HR Specialist

Job Description
FabMinds is looking for a highly motivated Senior HR Specialist to join our growing team. This role will be responsible for leading and optimizing all HR processes including recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, performance management, compliance, and culture-building activities. You will play a key role in helping FabMinds scale with the right talent, systems, and culture.
Roles and Responsibilities
Recruitment & Onboarding:
- Lead end-to-end recruitment process for all departments (tech, content, ops, product, etc.).
- Coordinate with hiring managers to define job requirements, screen candidates, and schedule interviews.
- Manage onboarding experience to ensure smooth integration of new hires.
Talent Development & Engagement
- Organize and manage performance review cycles.
- Develop and implement employee development plans and internal training programs.
- Maintain employee records and track development goals.
HR Operations & Compliance
- Maintain updated HR documentation including policies, procedures, and handbooks.
- Ensure legal compliance with Egyptian labor law and employment best practices.
- Oversee attendance, leave tracking, contracts, and benefits administration.
Culture & Internal Communications
- Organize company-wide events, team-building activities, and recognition programs.
- Promote open communication and feedback culture within teams.
- Support leadership with engagement and retention strategies.
HR Strategy & Systems
- Assist with defining and evolving the overall HR strategy for a growing startup.
- Recommend and implement HR tools or platforms to improve workflows.
- Provide reports and insights to management on headcount, retention, and hiring progress.
Day-to-Day Activities
- Source candidates and screen applications.
- Schedule and conduct first-round interviews.
- Draft employment offers and prepare onboarding materials.
- Update HR system with new joiners, policy changes, or role updates.
- Coordinate with finance on payroll changes and attendance.
- Respond to employee questions or issues related to HR.
Requirements
- 5+ years of proven HR experience, ideally in a tech, startup, or fast-growing environment.
- Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
- Solid knowledge of Egyptian labor law
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Organized, self-motivated, and proactive
- Bilingual (Arabic/English)
Nice to Have
- Experience with HR systems or tools (Zoho People, BambooHR, etc.) is a plus.
- Experience managing hiring for technical roles (engineering, product, etc.).
- Interest in education, tech, or creative industries.
