Who We Are

Omar Rayan is the Vice-President of Engineering at FabMinds. He is responsible for all software activities: embedded software development, mobile application & web development, AI/ML engineering & DevOps; alongside his executive roles of contributing to shaping strategic goals, project roadmaps & planning for future product development at FabMinds.
Omar has over 10 years of professional experience in embedded software & engineering management, gained across different industries (Wireless IC Tech, Inertial Stabilization/Navigation, Ed-Tech & IoT).
Before joining Fab-Minds in 2022, he was a staff embedded software engineer at Goodix Technology, responsible for the development of software for different DSP & uC architectures for wireless technology SoCs (System on Chip).
He was also responsible for mentoring younger team members and assisting in software development plans using agile methodologies and interacting with cross-functional teams for synchronized development, testing & deployment.
Omar was also a senior embedded software engineer at Si-Ware Systems working on numerous world-class products from tactical grade tri-axis stabilization platforms to the technical leadership and milestone deliveries for the NeoSpectra™ Scanner embedded software, embedded UI and android mobile application demo.
He has also worked on multiple projects affiliated with educational institutes as the Integrated Circuits Lab at Ain-Shams University, and on the European Union’s TEMPUS project titled “e-Laboratories for Physics and Engineering Education” at the British University in Egypt.
He received his BSc from Loughborough University with First-Class Honours from the Department of Electrical & Communications Engineering back in 2012.
